Matuse, Inc. is an e-commerce business that focuses on premium wetsuits for men and women. The Matuse mission statement is to make product ichiban (the best) by creating function-first, solution-specific innovations; to educate by telling a story, enhancing cultural and environmental awareness.

Matuse, Inc. came to GenTech Marketing to increase online sales and improve conversion rates. With GenTech Marketing being the industry leaders in generating sales through Google and Facebook ads, Matuse reached out to us.

The Process:

Matuse came to GenTech Marketing to convert their target audience into customers, improve sales and revenue, and grow their business and brand! GenTech utilized Google search ads and retargeting on Facebook to increase sales for Matuse, Inc.

Google search ads are keyword-driven digital ads. The search term a user enters determines which ads appear on the search engine results page (SERP). GenTech targeted users with Google search ads through keyword search. Search ads are powerful because they reflect the intent of the user. They attract people who are actually searching for something you might sell, allowing you to leverage that interest!

Retargeting campaigns are designed to increase brand awareness and conversions by reaching consumers who have previously shown a direct interest in purchasing your product. GenTech created a retargeting sequence on Facebook for Matuse, which targeted an audience of people that had previously created an add to cart, visited the website, or initiated a checkout - but did not make the purchase.

We retargeted an audience on Facebook that opened the product page in the past 6 months, as well as added to cart and did not purchase in the past 2 weeks. Retargeting provides additional points of contact with your product and more largely your brand, increasing the likelihood that those people who know you will convert! Retargeting is not only a crucial step in getting your brand noticed online, but in getting sales.

To accomplish these goals, GenTech Marketing utilizes our multi-platform certified ad manager to show their ads to the right audience, on the right platform, at the right time!

​​The Results:

Matuse spent $54K on Google search ads through GenTech Marketing, to generate over $350K in sales! This result gave the company a return on ad spend (ROAS) of 6.48x. A high ROAS is extremely impressive and shows the effectiveness of our advertising efforts. It is a notable key performance indicator (KPI). Matuse spent $42K on Facebook retargeting ads through GenTech Marketing to generate over $173K in purchases. This results in a 4.12x average return on ad spend (ROAS), with the conversion rate hitting over 25% and 20%!
